Insiders are yet again getting a new Anniversary Update preview as Microsoft begins the rollout of Windows 10 build 14342 to the Fast ring of updates. The new preview includes several improvements, features, and big number of fixes. In build 14342, Microsoft is focusing on improving Microsoft Edge by making extensions available through the Store. Swipe navigation finally arrives in the browser, and there are real-time web notifications. Ubuntu and Windows Ink get various new enhancements, and the software giant is also adding a few changes to apps, such as a dark theme for the new Skype UWP preview app, websites will be able to open on apps, and the Feedback Hub gets some changes based on feedback....

Microsoft gets closer to finalize the Windows 10 Anniversary Update . The company has just began rolling Windows 10 build 14383 to the Fast ring for PC and Mobile devices. The new update comes with a many new improvements and fixes, but perhaps the biggest change is the removal of the watermark in the bottom right corner. It’s important to note this change, because it signals when Microsoft has completed the development of a new version, and it’s move to the finalization process to get the operating system ready for the masses on August 2nd....

Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 build 18362.10000 as part of the 19H2 development , and this is the second preview releasing to testers for the next feature update arriving this fall. Windows 10 build 18362.10000 , according to the company , it’s a small update with undefined changes designed for PC manufacturers, and it doesn’t include any visual improvements. Also, unlike previous releases, Windows 10 build 18362.10000 is available as a cumulative update for devices enrolled in the Slow ring of the Windows Insider Program already running the May 2019 Update ....

Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 build 21301 for PCs enrolled in the Windows Insider Program’s Dev Channel. This is preview number 58 available for testers with a small set of improvements. According to the company, build 21301 includes some refinements for the touch keyboard experience on Windows 10 . For example, when undocking the keyboard, it now changes to the small layout automatically. And you can move the keyboard using the gripper region at the top of the interface....

Windows 10 includes a feature to reset your PC in case things are not working correctly, and in the Creators Update , it seems that Microsoft will continue to improve the feature to make resetting your device a lot easier. Currently, if you go to Settings > Update & security > Recovery , and you launch the Reset This PC experience, you’ll get two options — one to reset your device while keeping your files and the option that removes everything from your PC and restores the factory settings....

Although Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) originally launched on October 17, 2017, it was actually not available for every device. However, since the original release, Microsoft has been gradually testing the update and gradually rolling it out to more devices, and starting January 11, 2018, the software maker announces that the update is fully available for all devices running Windows 10. Windows 10 will include a new option to allow users to download updates from other PCs and not just from Microsoft’s secure servers. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC lifecycle will change from 10 to 5 years. The lifecycle change will start with Windows 10 21H2 and older releases will continue the 10-year cycle. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC lifecycle won’t be affected. Microsoft is planning to shorten the lifecycle of its Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) for Windows 10 to five years from ten. The announcement appeared at the Tech Community blog , where the company explained that with the release of version 21H2 during the second half of the year, the Windows 10 Client LSTC will change to a five-year lifecycle to align with the support schedule of Office LTSC ....

On March 10th, Microsoft begins the rollout of Windows 10 Mobile build 14283 to the Fast ring. The new preview part of the Redstone update coming later this year with a second release in 2017, includes a few new feature improvements on the Phone, Feedback Hub, Outlook Mail & Calendar apps. In addition, the software giant is also addressing a number of issues on the Start screen, hang while trying to reboot, Action Center, keyboard, and connectivity to wireless displays....

Microsoft is now rolling out update KB4051963 for PCs running the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) . In this new update, you won’t find any new features or significant improvements, but it includes a number of fixes to help improve the overall experience. KB4051963 bumps the version number of Windows 10 build 16299.98 , and addresses problems with DirectX 9 games and apps, networking issues, a problem connecting Outlook to Office 365, and several issues with Internet Explorer....

Although Windows 10 has already received updates to mitigate the Spectre and Meltdown security vulnerabilities, in order to further mitigate these issues firmware updates are also required. Previously, Microsoft made available an update that includes Intel microcode patches to mitigate the Spectre vulnerabilities, but it’s been only available for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update . Now, the company is releasing KB4100347 as a standalone update to mitigate the vulnerability on devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) ....

Microsoft is once again releasing cumulative updates for Windows 10 outside of its regular Patch Tuesday schedule. This time, the company is rolling out update KB4340917 for Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018 Update) , update KB4338817 for version 1709 (Fall Creators Update) , and update KB4338827 for version 1703 (Creators Update) . KB4340917 bumps the version number of the Windows 10 April 2018 Update to build number 17134.191, and according to the company addresses issues with time zone, networking, Bluetooth, SQL Server, Active Directory, and more....

As part of a continuous effort to fix the long list of problems with Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update) , Microsoft is now rolling out KB4464455 as a cumulative update, but only for participant of the Windows Insider Program with devices enrolled in the Slow and Release Preview ring. KB4464455 bumps the version number to build 17763.104, and according to the software giant , it addresses a Task Manager problem that was showing the incorrect details under the Processes tab....

Microsoft is now rolling out update KB4516077 for devices running the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809 , to address a slew of issues. KB4516077 bumps the version number to build 17763.774, and according to the company, address excessive CPU usage when you switch applications or hover over the Taskbar. An issue that causes a dim display after waking from Sleep. A problem that prevents changing the display brightness after resuming from Sleep or Hibernation when using certain graphics drivers, and a lot more....

Microsoft is releasing the KB4577062 update as an optional update for devices running Windows 10 version 1909 and 1903 . The update is available as preview, and it delivers several improvements that are expected to be arrive during the October 2020 Patch Tuesday rollout. The KB4577062 update bumps the version number to build 18363.1110 and 18362.1110 for version 1909 and 1903 respectively, and according to the software giant, adds a new notification to Internet Explorer to inform the end of support of Adobe Flash in December 2020....

Windows 10 update KB4601382 (preview) is available as an optional update. The changes in KB4601382 will rollout automatically during the March 2021 Patch Tuesday update. The update KB4601382 fixes problems with the OOBE, refresh rate, video flickering, language, and more. Windows 10 update KB4601382 is now available as a preview for versions 20H2 and 2004 . This is currently an optional update part of the February 2021 “C” release, and it includes non-security patches that Microsoft plans to make available during the next Patch Tuesday update....

Windows 10 update KB5001330 is now available for versions 20H2 and 2004. The update KB5001330 bumps the version number to build 19041.928 and 19042.928. The same fixes are available for versions 1909, 1809, 1803, and older releases. The version 1511 of Windows 10 (non-insider) for PC and Mobile is getting a new cumulative update. According to the company, the new update brings the PC version of the operating system from 10586.218 to 10586.240 and version of Windows 10 Mobile jumps to 10586.242. While the new update doesn’t bring a significant feature, the update includes improvements on app compatibility and upgrade experience.
