Microsoft releases a new update (version 2303.40000.3.0) for its Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11 . The update is available through the Windows Insider Program (Dev and Beta Channels) and includes several fixes and changes to help improve Android apps and enables new features on Windows 11.
According to the announcement , the update enables picture-in-picture (PIP) for apps that support the feature with “the flexibility of having apps in windowed mode and all of the great Windows resize and snap features, makes multitasking within Android apps even easier.” In addition, this rollout ships the Linux kernel version 5.15.78, improves reliability, and more.

- A new “Partially running” system setting was added to the WSA Settings app, which runs the subsystem with minimal resources, but apps launch quicker than the “As needed” mode
